Full Professor in Urology

Dr. Fabio Castiglione is a consultant andrologist at King's College Hospital and Guy's and St Hospital. He is also the director and founder of the Holistic Andrology clinic in London; he has also obtained the qualification as a Full Professor in Urology in Italy and is an Associate Professor at the University College of London in London. Dr. Castiglione has been proclaimed Prostate Cancer UK Champion by the UK's largest prostate cancer prevention association: PROSTATE CANCER UK.

Dr. Castiglione obtained a degree in medicine and then a specialization in urology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan. He received his PhD in stem cells and erectile dysfunction at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). Dr. Castiglione is considered one of the pioneers of regenerative medicine in male sexual diseases, having published the first studies on stem cells and PRP for Peyronie's disease. Dr. Castiglione is the inventor of P-Shocks, the innovative non-surgical protocol for treating Peyronie's disease and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Castiglione is a fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM), the European Urology Board (FEBU) and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Andrological Guidelines of the International Sexual Medicine Society (ISSM), the European Society of Urology (UAE) and the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM).

Dr. Fabio Castiglione is an Italian urologist andrologist in London. Dr. Castiglione is the director and founder of the Holistic Andrology clinic in London; he has also obtained the qualification as Full Professor in Urology in Italy and is an Associate Professor at the University College of London in London and Andrologist at King's College Hospital and Guy's and St Hospital. 

He was born in Licata, Sicily, but soon moved to Milan, studying Medicine and Surgery at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. He graduated in 2009 with honours and academic mention with a thesis on sexual rehabilitation after prostate removal surgery. Driven by a passion for andrology, he obtained a Specialization in Urology with honours at the same university under the guidance of his Mentor, Dr. Francesco Montorsi. During his training, Dr. Castiglione carried out a research fellowship in Sweden and a second fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore (United States), considered the mecca of world urology. During this period, Dr. Castiglione publishes one of the most crucial pieces of research: The use of stem cells to treat Peyronie's disease (curvature of the penis), which makes it known all over the globe.

At the end of his training, he moved to Belgium, to the KU Leuven University, where he obtained a PhD in Stem Cell therapy applied to Male Sexual dysfunction, imposing himself, on the international scene, as one of the leading experts in this field.

After his doctorate, he moved to India, to Pune, as a volunteer surgeon under the guidance of Prof Kulkarni, a world expert in urethral surgery. Professor Castiglione performs the first stem cell transplant in India to treat human urethral strictures. In 2016, he moved to London to work at University College London Hospital, where he hyper-specialized in andrological, reconstructive, and robotic surgery.

Dr. Fabio Castiglione is a member of several international scientific committees, including the Scientific Committee of the European Society of Sexual Medicine (ESSM), the Commission for Guidelines for Sexual Medicine of the International Society of Sexual Medicine (ISSM), and the Young Academic Urology of the European Urological Society (UAE).

In 2017, at the European Congress of Urology, he was awarded the best and most promising young urologist of 2017. Nature Urology, a well-known scientific journal, called him one of Europe's rising stars in the field of urology.

From 2020 to 2022, he held the role of Associate Editor of the most important scientific journal in the field of sexual Medicine: The Journal of Sexual Medicine.

Prof Castiglione founded Holistic Andrology in London, a medical clinic that focuses on its activities in the name of innovation in the andrological field, with particular attention to new technologies and treatments for erectile dysfunction. In 2022 Prof Castiglione develops the regenerative therapeutic protocol P-Shock® to treat erectile dysfunction and Le Peyronie's disease (penile curvature).
